MI PORTFOLIO EUROPEO DE LAS LENGUAS
INFORMACIÓN PARA LAS FAMILIAS
Su hij@ va a utilizar a lo largo de la
Educación Primaria Mi Portfolio Europeo de las Lenguas (PEL). El PEL
es un documento propuesto por el Consejo de Europa con vistas a
establecer un marco europeo común para el aprendizaje de lenguas,
tema de especial atención para el Consejo en los últimos años.
A lo largo de su vida, su hij@ va a
utilizar otras versiones de Portfolios adecuadas, cada una de ellas,
a la etapa educativa en la que se encuentre. Este documento va a
recoger las experiencias de sus aprendizajes de lenguas y los
contactos con culturas de los niñ@s, por lo tanto, el PEL, contiene
información sobre:
- Las lenguas habladas en la familia.
- Los conocimientos de lenguas ambientales de los niñ@s.
- Sus mejores proyectos lingüísticos realizados en el ámbito escolar y extraescolar.
- La valoración personal que los niñ@s hacen de sus propios progresos en el aprendizaje de las lenguas.
Mi Portfolio Europeo de las Lenguas no
pretende ser un boletín de calificaciones. Es un documento personal,
propiedad del niño, que tertimonia sus curiosidades sobre las
culturas y las lenguas, sus progresos, sus esfuerzos para aprender.
Una especie de diario que le ayudará a desarrollar su autonomía
como aprendiz y le motivará para querer saber más sobre las lenguas
de Europa y las personas del mundo.
Ayúdenle a cuidar su Portfolio, a
seleccionar y comentar la elección de los materiales que incluyan
en su Dossier y a valorar la riqueza que supone conocer personas de
diferentes culturas y ser capaz de comunicarse con ellas.
NUEVO GRUPO DE TRABAJO
Este año, al igual que el año pasado, hemos creado un grupo de trabajo bilingüe en el centro. Durante todo el curso vamos a tratar de diseñar e implementar el Portfolio Europeo de las Lenguas en el primer curso de Educación Primaria para ir progresivamente adaptándolo cada curso.

Los objetivos que nos hemos marcado son los siguientes:
1. Sensibilizar y concienciar a la comunidad educativa de la importancia
del PEL como herramienta de aprendizaje.
2. Conocer los descriptores
del Cuadro de Autoevaluación del Consejo de Europa.
3. Elaborar
actividades para trabajar los distintos descriptores.
4. Elaborar una
programación para la implementación del PEL.
5. Diseñar actividades que
desarrollen las tres partes del Portfolio: Biografía Lingüística,
Dossier, Pasaporte de las Lenguas.
6. Actualizar el Blog Bilingüe del
centro para dar a conocer las actividades del PEL.
7. Trasladar nuestro
trabajo al día a día del aula.

Travelling to Scotland
After working on some topics about England and London, we are going to learn some facts about Scotland and its mysteries.
First of all, remember that the UK is divided into England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Now let's learn some important things:
Where is Scotland?
Scotland is in north-west Europe and is part of Great Britain, an island country ( See map ) and the United Kingdom (UK) .
- Scotland is a mountainous country in the north of the island of Great Britain and shares a land border to the south with England and is bounded by the North Sea on the east and the Atlantic Ocean on the west.
- Its capital city is Edinburgh.
- Scotland has some 790 islands - 130 inhabited.
Scotland is Famous for....
- Its fresh water lochs (lakes) – there are over 600 square miles of them. One of the most famous is Loch Ness where a mysterious monster is said to lurk in the depths of the water.
- It is also famous for its clans, kilts, medieval castles, as well as poetry and songs of Robert Burns.
- Theatre lovers from around the world come to Edinburgh for its famous theatres festival.
Famous People of Scotland
- Famous Scots include: Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson, Arthur Conan Doyle, David Hume and the actor Sean Connery.
- Famous musicians of Scotland include Annie Lennox, Wet Wet Wet, Travis and Simple Minds.
Festivals and music
- Scotland also hosts one of the biggest arts festivals in the world. This is commonly known as the Edinburgh Festival but is actually made up of a number of different festivals which happen at different times of the year, though many do take place in August and September. Many people have heard of the Fringe Festival, but there are also the International Festival, the Film Festival, the Children’s Festival and the Edinburgh Mela which is an intercultural festival.

- On 1 July 1999, the Scottish Parliament was opened by HM the Queen, the first Scottish Parliament for 300 years. Scottish parliament responsibilities include social work services, health, local government and education.

- Edinburgh was the first city in the world which had its own fire-brigade.
- Edinburgh – the capital of Scotland, like Rome, was built on seven hills.
- Until 1603, Scotland (like England) had its own Monarch. In 1603, the King of Scotland became also the King of England ruling both countries.
